He wrote primarily for the solo piano, although his works also include two piano concertos, chamber works, and Polish songs. This stately Bourrée has been arranged to be played as a recital piece for double bass with piano accompaniment. It has been arranged for players at a beginner/early-intermediate stage, providing an opportunity to practice accurate bowing technique over octave leaps. |
