| Frédéric Chopin (1810-49) was a Polish composer and pianist of the romantic era. He wrote primarily for the solo piano, although his works also include two piano concertos, chamber works, and Polish songs. These spritely Bourrées have been arranged to be played as recital pieces for double bass with piano accompaniment. They are ideal beginner/early intermediate pieces, providing an opportunity to play in upper and lower neck positions and to practice accurate bowing technique over octave leaps. |
