Description: |
The tango is a musical genre and social dance form which originated towards the end of the 19th century. It is characterised by its two-beat emphasis over four (dos por cuatro) time signatures and is often based on repeated patterns such as ABAB or ABCAC.
Ángel Villoldo (16 February 1861 -14 October 1919) was an Argentinian born musician who was one of the pioneers of the tango.
This piece has been arranged from the original score to be performed as a recital piece for accompanied flute. It is suitable for a student studying at grade 4 -5 level, and is an ideal piece to aid sight reading of syncopated rhythm. |
